About

Spring 2013

Gracious Green Woman is a blog about my journey to becoming a better woman, wife and mommy.  I want to be a godly example to my children and the best wife I can be.  I know that focusing on becoming more like Jesus will make me better in every area!
I also want to "go green."  While that typically means helping the environment, I am more concerned with replacing toxic chemicals in our home with healthy, natural items (cleaning supplies, organic foods, etc.).  I am trying to do my part and leave a smaller footprint on my environment, but what drives me to change is helping my family be healthier!

Spring 2012

My name is Alycia.  I have an amazing husband - DJ, and four beautiful girls - Kailyn, Neeci, Adalyn and Sadie.  We all love Jesus and music - especially when you put the two together; worship is the passion of our hearts!

February 2012
I love to write, sing, mother, learn, read, exercise...
I like to cook, watch movies while eating popcorn and peanut M&Ms...
I don't like to clean, do laundry or the Texas heat - unless I'm in the water...

I have started this blog to document my journey as our family grows in numbers, depth with Jesus, and healthy living!  I hope that some of my information can help you or that you at least enjoy reading!  Feel free to email me, graciousgreenwoman(at)gmail(dot)com, or leave a comment on any post and I'll get back to you!  Thanks for reading!

"I wanted to start this blog about my journey to becoming a Gracious Green Woman. I have been unable to think of much else these past few weeks. There's just been a stirring in my heart about becoming a better Woman, Wife and Mother in all areas of my life and I thought I would blog about my journey. I'm not sure where this will take me, but you can come along for the ride if you want. I'm hoping that from this record of my discoveries, questions, research, and trials and errors you will be able to grow as well, inspiring you to become a GGW or just simply learning from a few of my mistakes. I'd love to hear any thoughts you have on any of these topics. So feel free to share anything, anytime!"
