Introducing Sadie (+V-day Ideas)

I cannot believe Valentine's Day is next week! Since we have a LOVEly new addition to our family, we have been a little busy and not quite as crafty this year... but before I share a few fun and simple V-day ideas I'd like to introduce you to...

Sadie Rebecca

She is our fourth beautiful baby girl, born 7lbs 10oz without any meds!  It took 4 tries to get the guts to try without an epidural.  I have to say, it was a wonderful experience.

We are adjusting well as a family of 6 now!  The girls are in love with their new little sister and so are we!  Since we are a little limited in our extra activities right now, we're keeping our days and holidays pretty simple (until mommy can get a full night's rest again).  Instead of making cookies (I remember making sugar cookies as a kid and decorating with frosting and sprinkles), we are just going to keep all the food in a red-theme for Valentine's day.

Red grapes, heart shaped pancakes, pb and strawberry jam sandwiches (heart-shaped of course) w/ salad and cherry tomatoes, red cups with juice or water and spaghetti and meat-sauce for dinner.

Here are a few craft ideas we think are pretty simple and fun:

Turning easy to cut heart decorations into mailable valentines!  Great for sending grandparents a little homemade love!

Lollipop heart flowers make a great gift or throw a few in a vase and you have a cute and crafty decoration!

Whatever you do and however you celebrate Valentine's Day this year, share your heart and spread some love.

  1. I love you...so thankful you are the mother of my grandgirls. They are blessed. You are creating memories for them that will last a lifetime. Good Job sweetie. :) and your Valentine menu looks scrumptious.

  2. That little Sadie Rebecca is a gorgeous bundle of joy. I can't wait to meet her! Yay for me!
