March | Courage

Wow!  Here we are, over one week into the month of March already!  Hard to believe.  I guess I should stop being surprised at how fast time flies by.

We have been very busy these past few weeks.  We bought our first home this year (yay!) and started the remodel process three weeks ago (as you can tell by the picture, it's a bit of a fixer-upper).  My husband is working like a mad-man to get everything finished quickly so we can move in and settle down (and maybe take a vacation afterwards!).  I will very excitedly show you complete before and after pictures of our home as soon as we have finished!  Here is a BEFORE picture of the front of our house!  I can't wait to take you on a little virtual picture tour when it's all done (really I just can't wait for it to be all done) =)  So in case you're wondering what's going on in my life right now ... the picture doesn't even begin to tell the whole story!  ;)

For the month of March I am focusing on Courage.  I just finished a 7 day Bible Study on the subject and now I'm going through some old Beth Moore Esther study notes.
I hope that throughout the next few weeks we will all be woman of courage; strong; brave; full of heart.  No matter what situations we're facing, even if they seem so insignificant that "courage" seems to strong of a word.  We are commanded to be courageous (Matt 10:31; John 14:27; 1Pet 3:14; 1Cor.16:13; Josh 1:9...), so let's go and BE it!

Courage: mental or moral strength to venture, persevere, and withstand danger, fear or difficulty. (according to

"There is no denial in courage.  Don't deny the reality, deny it's authority!" - Beth Moore, Esther Study Notes.

"This is my command-be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go." - Joshua 1:9 (NLT).

"None of us are born brave...(but) you may be one brave decision away from the most important turn in your (life) path!" - Beth Moore, Esther Study Notes.

"Be on guard. Stand firm in the faith. Be courageous. Be strong." - 1 Corinthians 16:13 (NLT)

Sure, we can look pretty in our armor too!  She might only be posing, but I love thinking of us godly women like this, beautiful, strong and courageous; ready for anything; maybe even with a little attitude...we don't even need all the added photoshop-touchups. =)
